Seasalter Road & Cleve Hill, Graveney (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2023


South East Water works.

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Seasalter Road & Cleve Hill, Graveney. Seasalter Road will be closed from 23rd October 2023, with estimated completion by 25th October 2023 or where stated on a valid Permit (EB009-43718914-02 – South East Water).

Cleve Hill will be closed from 23rd October 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd November 2023, or where stated on a valid Permit (EB00943718914-1 – South East Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
Seasalter Road & Cleve Hill will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by South East Water.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling North on Seasalter Road is via Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way, A2990 Thanet Way, B2205 Borstal Hill, Joy Lane and Faversham Road.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling South on Seasalter Road is via Faversham Road, Joy Lane, B2205 Borstal Hill, A2990 Thanet Way, A290 Clapham Hill, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street, Staple Street Road, Whitstable Road and Head Hill.

There is no alternative route for Cleve Hill, however, access will be maintained for residents when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
