KENT COUNTY COUNCIL Ashford Road, Badlesmere (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024 UK Power Networks works.



To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Badlesmere.

A closure is planned from 11th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.00 and 15.30, or where stated on a valid Permit (KZ50079696077-03 UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Ashford Road will be closed from the junction with Bagshill Road to the junction with Dayton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling Southbound is via A2 Canterbury Road, London Road, Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton Bypass, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, Rheims Way, St Peters Roundabout, Rheims Way, A28 Wincheap Green, Thanington Road, Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, A252 Maidstone Road, The Street and Canterbury Road.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling North is via A252 Canterbury Road, The Street, Maidstone Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Ashford Road, Thanington Road, A2 Boughton Bypass, Brenely Corner Roundabout, A2 London Road and Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
