Based in your local area, this unit offers fantastic activities to young people from 10 – 18 all year-round, based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. Their aim is to give young people the best head start in life through nautical adventure and fun.
As part of their ongoing efforts to provide enriching experiences and personal development opportunities to young people, they are seeking volunteers who are passionate about mentoring and guiding the next generation.
Volunteering with the Sea Cadets offers numerous benefits:
Personal Fulfilment: Making a difference in young people’s lives by helping them develop confidence, skills, and a sense of adventure.
Professional Development: Enhancing leadership, teaching, and teamwork abilities in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Community Engagement: Strengthening ties with the local community and contributing to the development of responsible, motivated, and skilled young citizens.
Their volunteers come from all walks of life, and no prior service experience is required. They provide comprehensive training and support to ensure that their volunteers feel confident and capable in their roles.
All their units are charities in their own right and are entirely volunteer led. Without enough volunteers in place, it’s impossible to provide the amazing cadet experience loved by the young people who come through our doors every week. New Adult Instructor volunteers would make the unit more sustainable and able to continue to offer opportunities to more young people in our area.
