Save Ham Marshes Fundraising Events

In January 2026, approval was given to take our case opposing the development to judicial review and on Monday 30th march town councillors confirmed their support for this vital step. Our costs are estimated to be £70k. working in a partnership with Faversham Town Council, the Faversham creek trust and the Faversham Society, a substantial sum has already been pledged and the gap to close is about £20k

To help meet the target we are holding two fund raising events in May. The first is an art auction on Saturday 2nd May from 7:30pm at creek creative in Abbey Street, Faversham. With a free glass of wine on arrival, you will be able to peruse a wonderful selection of paintings, drawings, and photos, many by local artists, before choosing which ones to go for.

Our second event, an Afternoon of music, will be on Sunday 31st May from 3pm at the assembly rooms Preston street Faversham. Teas and cakes will be served on arrival before the entertainment gets underway, which will include classical pianists David Willisen and Andrew Mussett, jazz band Cassis Collective, and a singer Helen North for a lively mix of musical talent to celebrate Ham Marshes and Summertime. Tickets will be £12 and will be available through eventbrite. Visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/ to buy yours.
