To allow pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Staplestreet Road & Staple Street, Hernhill.

Closures are planned from 3rd June 2023, with estimated completion by 6th June 2023, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or where stated on valid Permits (BC411WDLF069M001-02 & BC411WDLF0P8L001 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Staplestreet Road will be closed in the vicinity of Mountfield House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Staple Street will be closed in the vicinity of Kemsdale Lodge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic for both Staplestreet Road & Staple Street is via The Street, A2 Canterbury Road, A2 London Road, B2040 Love Lane, Graveney Road and vice versa.
