To allow duct works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Street & Scoggers Hill, Boughton Under Blean.
Closures are planned from 17th October 2023, with estimated completion by 6th November 2023, or where stated on valid Permits (BC411002WF3D179Z-02 & BC411001WF3D179Z – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
South Street (Hickmans Green) will be closed between Fox Lane and Jezzards Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via South Street, Nine Ash Lane, Canterbury Road, Stockers Hill, The Street, Colonels Lane, Hickmans Green, South Street (Hickmans Green) and vice versa.
Scoggers Hill will be closed between Rhode Common and South Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Fox Lane, Selling Road, Rhode Common and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works. Residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct works are undertaken by Openreach.
