To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cyprus Road, Faversham.
A closure is planned from 9th October 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 07.00 and 19.00, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE10058933462-01 Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
Cyprus Road will be closed between Minster Road and Whitstable Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
To facilitate the diversion route the following restrictions will be required:-
The One-Way Order on Minster Road between Cyprus Road and Westgate Road will be reversed. Vehicles will be allowed to travel Eastbound only.
The One-Way Order on Westgate Road between Whitstable Road and Minster Road will be suspended. Vehicles will be allowed to travel Northbound and Southbound to allow access in and out of the estate.
The parking on Westgate Road will be suspended (no stopping or waiting) between Whitstable Road and Minster Road.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Southern Water.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Minster Road and Westgate Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
