To allow zebra crossing and junction improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forbes Road, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 13th April 2023, for up to two nights, between the hours of 20.00 and 05.00, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE40190209336-02 Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Forbes Road will be closed between the junctions of Athelstan Road and Briton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while zebra crossing and junction improvement works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forbes Road, A2 London Road, Love Lane, B2040 Whitstable Road, East Street, B2041 Newton Road, Station Road and vice versa.
