B2040 Ospringe Road, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2023


To allow bridge strengthening works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2040 Ospringe Road, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 2nd October 2023, with estimated completion by 4th November 2023, week day nights only, between the hours of 19.00 and 05.00, or where stated on a valid Permit (Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

B2040 Ospringe Road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge strengthening works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 London Road, Canterbury Road, B2040 Love Lane, Whitstable Road, East Street, Crescent Road, Court Street, Quay Lane, Conduit Street, North Lane, South Road and vice versa.
