A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill & Yorkletts (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2023


Kent County Council works.

To allow improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction on part of A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill & Yorkletts.

Restrictions are planned from 20th November 2023, with estimated completion by 9th December 2023, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE70544015922-02 Kent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage
displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

A temporary mandatory 40 mph speed restriction will be imposed on A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill & Yorkletts from the Fostall eastbound on-slip to 400 metres east of the Dargate Services, in both directions, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The speed restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while improvement works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
