Various Roads, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2026


Road Traffic Management Ltd works
To allow crane works for building repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of various roads in Faversham.

This order takes effect from 14th September 2026 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published on One.Network in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.

Closures
The following roads around Faversham town centre will have closures imposed between the junctions with Crescent Road and Stone Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Court Street, Faversham
Market Place, Faversham
Market Street, Faversham
East Street, Faversham
Preston Street, Faversham

One-Way Suspension
The following roads will have a temporary suspension of the One-Way Order imposed, to allow access.

Court Street, Faversham
Market Place, Faversham
Market Street, Faversham
Preston Street, Faversham

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and
workforce while crane works for building repairs are undertaken by Road Traffic
Management Ltd.

There is no alternative route, however there will be marshals positioned at the
junctions of Court Street/Crescent Road and East Street/Preston Street to
manage access.
