Various Roads, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026


To allow surface water line works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of various roads in Faversham.

Restrictions are planned from 24th October 2026, with estimated completion by 31st October 2026, or where stated on a valid Permit (LQ003SWAT14609891- 02 – Southern Water Services).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
B2040 South Road, West Street, Leslie Smith Drive & B2040 North Lane, Faversham will be closed at the junctions where they meet, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while surface water line works are undertaken by Southern Water
Services.

The alternative route for B2040 South Road & B2040 North Lane is via B2040 Conduit Street, Quay Lane, Crescent Road, B2041 Newton Road, Station Road, Forbes Road, The Mall, A2 London Road, B2040 Ospringe Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for West Street is via Caslocke Street, Hatch Street, Beckett Street, Napleton Road, Tanner Street, Curtis Way, Stonebridge Way, Beech Close and Lower Road.

The alternative route for Leslie Smith Drive will be signed and displayed on site.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The One-Way Order on West Street will be suspended to allow access.
