Faversham Town Council has developed a transport questionnaire to find out which vital services you struggle to get to. If you do not have any transport needs, but you know someone who does, then please give them a copy of the survey, or fill it in for them with their permission.
The survey can be completed by residents in Faversham and the surrounding villages, either online or by a paper copy available from the Visitor Information Centre, 12 Market Place.
The evidence from the survey will be used to identify existing services and if there are any transport needs in Faversham and the surrounding villages. It will guide what further research work is undertaken, with the aim of the Town Council applying for grant funding from KCC’s Community Transport Scheme.
Cllr Julian Saunders said “Many local residents aren’t able to make journeys on foot, bike or by car and rely on public transport, so its really disappointing that bus and train services have reduced since the pandemic.
Well used public transport can make a real difference to the volume of local car journeys reducing traffic congestion and vehicle pollution. The Town Council is keen to work with others to find community based solutions which make it easy for residents to access key services from local villages and suburbs without having to use cars.
Please help us get a better understanding of what is needed by taking part in this survey.”
