To allow gully works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westgate Road, Faversham.
A closure is planned from 21st September 2026, with estimated completion by 9th October 2026, or where stated on a valid Permit (LQ003SWAT14609531-03 Southern Water Services).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed
on One.Network
Westgate Road will be closed between the junctions with Minster Road and Luton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gully works are undertaken by Southern Water Services.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Minster Road, Cyprus Road and Gordon Square.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
