West Street, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025 Openreach works.


To allow desilting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Street, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 21:00 hours on 17th June 2025, with estimated completion by 06:00 hours on 18th June 2025, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC008WF0JHL6WL2CSB-04 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network


West Street will be closed between the junctions with B2040 South Road and Caslocke Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while desilting works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Street, Caslocke Street, Hatch Street, Beckett Street, Napleton Road, Tanners Street, Curtis Way, Stonebridge Way, Beech Close, Lower Road and B2040 South Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
