West Street, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024 Openreach works.


To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Street, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 20.00 hours on 11th July 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 12th July 2024, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC008WF0JHL6W-01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

West Street will be closed from the junction with B2040 South Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Caslocke Street, Hatch Street, Beckett Street, Napleton Road, Tanners Street and B2040 South Road.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and for residents at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
