Water Lane, Ospringe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2026 Openreach works.


To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Ospringe.

A closure is planned from 9th November 2026 with estimated completion by 10th November 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC411001WH4LGH6W-01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Water Lane will be closed 280m south of the junction with Vicarage Lane, heading further south for 100m, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, A2 Ospringe Street, London Road, Faversham Road, Coxett Hill, Abbots Hill, Water Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
