Various Roads, Faversham, Selling, Throwley &Ospringe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2025


To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of various roads throughout Faversham, Selling, Throwley & Ospringe.

Closures are planned from 11th April 2025, with estimated completion by 17th April 2025, or where stated on valid permits. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be
displayed on One.Network

A251 Ashford Road, Faversham
Works Schedule
The road will be closed between the junctions with A2 Canterbury Road and Tettenhall Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via A251 Ashford Road, M2 J6-J7, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, London Road, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

The non-motorway diversion route will be symbolised out on site.

Salters Lane, Selling
The road will be closed at the junction with A251 Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via A251 Ashford Road, M2 J6-J7, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, London Road, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Porters Lane, Ospringe
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A251 Ashford Road, M2 J6-J7, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, London Road, Canterbury Road, London Road, Brogdale Road and vice versa.

Plumford Lane, Ospringe & Throwley
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A251 Ashford Road, M2 J6-J7, A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, London Road, Canterbury Road, London Road, Brogdale Road and vice versa.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while connection works are undertaken by South East Water.
