UPDATE – Temporary Road Closure – Water Lane, Abbots Hill & Mutton Lane, Ospringe

Further to our previous email, these works have been extended further until 1st May 2023 as the fly tipping is still in place.

The works below have now been extended until 24th April 2023 due to an incident of fly tipping.

Temporary Road Closure – Water Lane, Abbots Hill & Mutton Lane, Ospringe2nd January 2023 (Swale District)

It will be necessary to close part of Water Lane, Abbots Hill & Mutton Lane, Ospringe from 2nd January 2023, with estimated completion by 27th January 2023.

The following roads will be closed, as detailed below.

Water Lane, Ospringe

Water Lane will be closed from 2nd January 2023, with estimated completion by 27th January 2023.

The road will be closed from the rear of Little Brook Manor to the junction with Abbots Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Water Lane, A2 Ospringe Street, London Road, Faversham Road, Coxett Hill, Abbots Hill and vice versa.

Abbots Hill, Ospringe

Abbots Hill will be closed from 2nd January 2023, with estimated completion by 27th January 2023.

The road will be closed from the junction with Water Lane to outside The Oaks, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is Water Lane, A2 Ospringe Street, London Road, Faversham Road, Coxett Hill and vice versa.

Mutton Lane, Ospringe

Mutton Lane will be closed from 16th January 2023, with estimated completion by 27th January 2023.

The road will be closed from the junction with Water Lane to outside Laurel Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Vicarage Lane, Water Lane and vice versa.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by SGN.
