Staplestreet Road, Dunkirk (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024


To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Staplestreet Road, Dunkirk.

A closure is planned from 1st October 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC008WFKM324GSB-01- Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network


Staplestreet Road will be closed from the junction with The Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic travelling westbound is via Staplestreet Road, The Street, Stockers Hill, Canterbury Road, A2 Boughton Bypass, A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable Road and Staple Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic travelling northbound is via Staple Street, A299 Thanet Way, Canterbury Road, Stockers Hill, The Street andStaplestreet Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
