Openreach works.

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Selling Road, Chilham & Selling Road, Selling.

Closures are planned from 15th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or where stated on valid Permits (BC008PTMS478307-03 & BC008PTMS478307A – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Selling Road, Chilham will be closed from the junction with New Cut Road, going south east bound for 825 metres, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Selling Road, Selling will be closed between the junction with Stonestile Lane to the junction with New Cut Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic:-
Selling Road, Chilham is via Selling Road, Lower Lees Road, Shalmsford Road, Canterbury Road, Maidstone Road, New Cut Road and vice versa.
Selling Road, Selling is via New Cut Road, Long Hill, Maidstone Road, The Street, Canterbury Road, Faversham Road, Ashford Road, Badlesmere Lees, Selling Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
