TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2023


To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oare Road, Faversham.

Closures are planned from 3rd April 2023, with estimated completion by 14th April 2023, or where stated on a valid Permit (XW015W118444121-00913-03SGN).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
The works will be carried out in phases, as detailed below.

Phase 1

Oare Road, Faversham will be closed from 3rd April 2023, with estimated completion by 9th April 2023.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Lakeside Avenue and Seagar Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 2
Oare Road, Faversham will be closed from 10th April 2023, with estimated completion by 16th April 2023.
The road will be closed at the junction with Ham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by SGN.
The alternative route for both phases is via Priory Row, Davington Hill, Dark Hill, Bysing Wood Road, Western Link, Oare Road and vice versa.
