Openreach works.
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Monkshill Road, Hernhill.
A closure is planned from 15th December 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC005WF4W2F4T-01 Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
Monkshill Road will be closed in the vicinity of Monkshill Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street Road, Huffkins Way, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street Road, Head Hill, Head Hill Road and Seasalter Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
