Hogbens Hill, Selling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2024 Southern Water works.


To allow manhole cover and frame works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hogbens Hill, Selling.

A closure is planned from 30th September 2024, with estimated completion by 1st October 2024, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or where stated on a valid Permit (LQ003SWAT13492700-02 – Southern Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Hogbens Hill will be closed in the vicinity of Peacock Place, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while manhole cover and frame works are undertaken by Southern Water.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Selling Road, A2 Canterbury Road, A251 Ashford Road, Newhouse Lane, Winding Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
