B2040 South Road, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024


To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2040 South Road, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 28th October 2024, with estimated completion by 29th October 2024, between the hours of 20:00 and 04:00, or where stated on a valid Permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

B2040 South Road will be closed between Stone Street and Napleton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, Preston Street, B2041 Station Road, Newton Road, B2040 Crescent Road, Court Street, Quay Lane, Conduit Street, North Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
