A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2024



To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill.

A closure is planned from 11th October 2024, with estimated completion by 15th October 2024, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE70557581162-03 – Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

A299 Thanet Way, Hernhill will be closed coastbound only, in the vicinity of Dargate Services, from Plumpudding Lane overbridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2 Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton Bypass, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, London Road, A290 Whitstable Road, St Thomas Hill, Whitstable Road, Blean Common, Honey Hill, Pean Hill, Clapham Hill, A2990 Thanet Way and A299 Thanet Way.
