A251 NORTH STREET, SHELDWICHTEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (2)


Kent County Council gives notice that A251 North Street, Sheldwich will be closed to through traffic, on or after 5th December 2023 for up to 2 days.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Porters Lane and Plumford Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling South is via; A2 Canterbury Road, London Road, Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton Bypass, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, Rheims Way, St Peters Roundabout, Rheims Way, A28 Wincheap Green, Thanington Road, Ashford Road,
Canterbury Road, A252 Maidstone Road, The Street, Canterbury Road.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling North is via; A252 Canterbury Road, The Street, Maidstone Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Ashford Road, Thanington Road, A2 Boughton Bypass, Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 London Road, Canterbury Road.

The road will be closed between 08:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs.

Porters Lane and Plumford Lane will also be closed for safety of traffic in conjunction with these works.

This closure is necessary to enable water pipe repairs to be carried out by South East Water.

This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.
