To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A2 Canterbury Road, Faversham & A2 London Road, Boughton Under Blean.
A closure is planned from 21:00 hours on 13th June 2025, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 16th June 2025, or where stated on valid permits.
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network
A2 Canterbury Road & London Road will be closed between Brenley Roundabout and the junction with Love Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers onsite.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
The alternative route for non-motorway traffic is via B2040 Love Lane, Graveney Road, Whitstable Road, Staple Street Road, Staple Street and A299 Thanet Way.
The alternative route via the motorway is A2 Canterbury Road, A251 Ashford Road and M2 junction 6 to junction 7 for A2 London Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
