To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of various roads in Faversham, Ospringe, Newnham & Eastling.
Closures are planned from 13th March 2026 with estimated completion by 16th March 2026, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or where stated on a valid permits. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network. Only one road will be closed at any one time.
Throwley, Faversham – BC411001WGNLCM0N
The road will be closed in the vicinity of South Hill Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Workhouse Road, Throwley Road, Throwley and vice versa.
Stalisfield Road, Ospringe – BC411001WGMTFP2R
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stalisfield Road, Scooks Hill, Eastling Road, Painters Forstal Road and vice versa.
Faversham Road, Newnham – BC411001WGNPG43S
The road will be closed approximately 80m east of the junction with North Eastling Road heading 100m in an easterly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Faversham Road, A2 London Road, Lynsted Lane, The Street, Christophers Row, Doddington Lane, Chequers Hill, The Street, Doddington Lane, The Street and vice versa.
Eastling Road, Eastling – BC411001WGNN3K6J
The road will be closed approximately 280m north east of the junction with North Eastling Road heading 100m in a north easterly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via North Eastling Road, Faversham Road, Elverland Lane, Eastling Road and vice versa.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
