Tanners Street, Faversham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER MARCH 2026 Southern Water works.

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tanners Street, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 17th March 2026 with estimated completion by 19th March 2026, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or where stated on a valid Permit (LQ001SWAT628594-01 – Southern Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Tanners Street will be closed between the junctions with West Street and Napleton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water works are undertaken by Southern Water.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Curtis Way, Dark Hill, Bysing Wood Road, B2045 Western Link, A2 London Road, Ospringe Street, London Road, B2040 Ospringe Road, South Road, Napleton Road, Tanners Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
