Highstreet Road, Hernhill (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2025


To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Highstreet Road, Hernhill.

A closure is planned from 13th January 2025, with estimated completion by 17th January 2025, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE05030321823-01 – C & M Agri Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Highstreet Road will be closed between the junctions with Plumpudding Lane and Waterham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by C & M Agri Ltd.

For vehicles travelling east the alternative route is via Monkshill Road, Seasalter Road, Headhill Road, Head Hill, Whitstable Road, A299 Thanet Way and Highstreet Road.

For vehicles travelling west the alternative route is via Plumpudding Lane, Huffkins Way, A299 Thanet Way, Staple Street, Staplestreet Road, Head Hill, Headhill Road, Seasalter Road and Monkshill Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
