About Kent Family Hubs

Kent County Council’s Family Hub allows families throughout Kent to get access to the local support and services. Advice, support, and services are available to families including newborns to 19-year-olds, or up to 25 year-olds with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Why Volunteer?

You will help make a difference in the lives of families contributing to their well-being and development. You will receive training in key areas such as perinatal mental health, infant nutrition, and attachment theory, enhancing your knowledge and ability to support families effectiviely.

You will develop new skills or build on existing ones, in areas such as mentoring, support, and community service.

Volunteer Roles include:

  • Family Coach – Support parents and carers of 0-2 year olds
  • Peer to Peer Volunteer – Support parents, carers, children, and young people aged 0-19, or up to 25 with SEND
  • Youth Peer Volunteer – Support young people to build resilience and improve their well-being
