Dayton Road, Sheldwich (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ORDER NOVEMBER 2024 Openreach works.


To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dayton Road, Sheldwich.

A closure is planned from 12th November 2024, with estimated completion by 13th November 2024, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or where stated on a valid Permit (BC411001WFMWJ98Y-03 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Dayton Road will be closed 300m east of the junction with A251 Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while telegraph pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lees Court Road, A251 Ashford Road, Dayton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
