Various Roads, Graveney(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION)THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2023


To allow vehicle movements from the Cleve Hill holding area to be managed safely, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose a temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on parts of various roads in Graveney.

Restrictions are planned from 10th July 2023, with estimated completion by 31st July 2027, or where stated on valid Permit (GE10024192411-01 – Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

A temporary mandatory 30 mph speed restriction on various roads in Graveney, will be imposed as follows:-
Whitstable Road, Graveney: from A299 slip west for approximately 390m in a westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site..

Staple Street Road, Graveney: from the Head Hill/Whitstable Road junction to the

Staple Street junction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Head Hill, Goodnestone: from Staple Street/Whitstable Road crossroads for approximately 135m in a northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

These restrictions are in place with the use of stop and go boards to hold traffic on Staple Street Road while vehicles enter/exit the holding area.

The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce for the duration of the Cleve Hill construction project being managed by Curtins.
