To allow drainage jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitstable Road, Faversham.

A closure is planned from 2nd April 2023, for up to one day, between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00, or where stated on a valid Permit (KL870VIR-52-44-020423-01 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

Whitstable Road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2040 Love Lane, A2 Canterbury Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road, West Street, B2040 North Lane, Conduit Street, Crescent Road, B2040 Court Street, B2040 East Street and vice versa.
