Faversham’s Clerk named a finalist for ‘Clerk of the Year’ in the national parish and town council awards

Louise Bareham has been announced as a finalist for Clerk of the Year in the prestigious Star Council Awards 2025/26, a national awards programme recognising excellence and innovation in parish and town councils across England.

Following a record number of nominations from across the country, an expert panel of judges shortlisted finalists across multiple categories, highlighting the exceptional work being done to serve local communities. Being selected as a finalist places Louise among the very best in the sector.

The Star Council Awards, delivered by the National Association of Local Councils (NALC), celebrate the achievements of parish and town councils, councillors, county associations and clerks who go above and beyond to support their communities and deliver outstanding public service.

Winners will be announced at NALC’s Parliamentary Reception on 24 February 2026 at the House of Lords, where finalists from across the country will come together to celebrate excellence in the parish and town council sector.

The awards are kindly supported by Clear Councils Insurance, Blachere Illumination, CCLA, Cloudy IT, Civic.ly, Unity Trust Bank and Utility Aid.
