Description
Originally home of merchant adventurer Henry Hatch before his death in 1533, this historic building at 12 Market Place houses Faversham and Swale’s Visitor Information Centre. Staffed by friendly and helpful Faversham Society volunteers, it offers a mine of local knowledge about the town, its surrounding villages, and the wider county. We can provide free maps and trails for you to discover local history, and locally-sourced souvenirs to remember your visit. Since the Faversham Society was formed in 1962, we have built up an extensive catalogue of Faversham Papers, which are available at the centre. The centre also hosts the Kent Heritage Bookshop.
