Faversham Umbrella

Faversham Umbrella is a local charity that aims to build and support the local community to become sustainable over time. As a community hub, working collaboratively with other services we also aim to improve social isolation and emotional and mental health and wellbeing and tackle food inequality by providing a safe and caring environment where all are welcome. The Hub intends to provide a safe space that is open and accessible for the community that brings people together, to enjoy nutritious food, relax, socialise, access services, learn new skills, and have fun!

We offer a range of free weekly activities, including yoga, art, music, singing, French conversation, and relaxation. We also offer workshops including, Basic IT skills, Mindfulness and craft. We are also providing free workshops, including Basic IT skills, Mindfulness and Craft.

Our Community café provides low cost and some free meals that are healthy and nutritionally based, with the menu sourced locally for all the community, particularly the most vulnerable. Our Café provides a relaxed, warm and caring environment where people can meet and talk and eat, in the hope of building social relationships.

We operate a pay-it-forward system in our café.
