Description
The Faversham Society is working to preserve the heritage of our historic town and its surrounding parishes. We aim to promote high standards of planning, educate the public in our history and to secure the preservation of features of historic interest.
Run entirely by volunteers, we run an outstanding free museum and important local history archive. Our second-hand bookshop is a treasure trove of pre-loved books.
We provide a friendly face at the Visitor Information Centre, run a programme of guided town walks, manage Chart Gunpowder Mills and support our archaeology group.
