We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping to ensure the smooth running of this important community event.

Residents, community groups and visitors are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.

We encourage everyone to wear their poppy and join us in observing this important occasion of remembrance, reflection and gratitude for all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

We will remember them. 🌹

🌺 A Lifetime of Service, Dedication and Remembrance 🌺

As Remembrance Day approaches, we celebrate Chris and Joy, two remarkable people whose lives have been dedicated to service, compassion and supporting others.

Both Chris and Joy have proud military backgrounds, serving with the Armed Forces, including during the First Gulf War. Their commitment to helping others continued long after their military careers through volunteering, fundraising and supporting military charities.

For the past nine years, they have jointly organised Faversham’s Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, working tirelessly to raise funds and support veterans, serving personnel and the families of those who have served.

Their work would not be possible without the fantastic team of volunteers and supporters who give their time and generosity.

Chris and Joy remind us that service doesn’t end when military life does. Through their dedication, they help keep the spirit of Remembrance alive and ensure that the sacrifices of others are never forgotten.

❤️ We remember those who served, honour those who sacrificed, and celebrate those who continue to serve their community.

🌺 Come and show your support! Join Chris, Joy and their wonderful volunteers over the next couple of Saturdays at Faversham Market, where you’ll find the Faversham Branch – Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal stall.

Come along, make a donation, pick up your poppy and, most importantly, stop for a chat and say hello!

A heartfelt thank you to Chris, Joy and all their volunteers for everything they do for Faversham. ❤️
