Elizabeth de la Porte was a groundbreaking harpsichordist and early music specialist who lived in Faversham. Alongside her work at the Royal College of Music, Elizabeth taught in schools across Kent. This concert showcases some of Kent’s finest young musicians, a fitting tribute to Elizabeth who was such an exceptional musician and dedicated teacher.

First Sunday Concert
Sunday 6th June at 3:00pm, at The Assembly Rooms
Guitarist Michael Butten will be performing British works from the two Elizabethan eras to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The programme juxtaposes lute pieces by John Dowland, Philip Rossetor and Daniel Batchelar, with contemporary works by John McLeod, Richard Rodney Bennett and Malcolm Arnold.
