Temporary Road Closure – Various Roads, Swale – 14th February 2022 (Swale District)
It will be necessary to close various roads in Swale District from 14th February 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The works will be carried out in phases, as detailed below.
Eastling Road, Painters Forstal & Eastling
Eastling Road will be closed, in phases, from the 14th February 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Painters Forstal Road and Newnham Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Scotts Lane, Hansletts Lane, Painters Forstal Road, Stalisfield Road, Scooks Hill and Eastling Road.
Everland Lane, Ospringe
Everland Lane will be closed from 21st February 2022, with estimated completion by 18th March 2022.
The road will be closed at the junction with Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Faversham Road, North Eastling Road, Eastling Road, Kettle Hill Road, Kettle Hill, Kettle Hill Road, Stalisfield Road and Eastling Road.
North Eastling Road, Eastling
North Eastling Road will be closed 7th March 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The road will be closed at the junction with Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Faversham Road, Newnham Lane, The Street, Kettle Hill Road, Kettle Hill, Kettle Hill Road, Stalisfield Road, Scooks Hill and Eastling Road.
Newnham Lane, Eastling
Newnham Lane will be closed from 21st March 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Eastling Road and The Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Newnham Lane, Faversham Road, North Eastling Road, Eastling Road, Scooks Hill, Stalisfield Road, Kettle Hill Road, Kettle Hill, Kettle Hill Road, The Street.
The Street, Eastling
The Street will be closed from 21st March 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The road will be closed at the junction with Newnham Lane / Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Newnham Lane, Faversham Road, North Eastling Road, Eastling Road, Scooks Hill, Stalisfield Road, Kettle Hill Road, Kettle Hill, Kettle Hill Road, The Street.
Meeson Close, Eastling
Meeson Close will be closed from 21st March 2022, with estimated completion by 8th April 2022.
The road will be closed at the junction with Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by SGN.
