Festive Entertainment in Faversham
Starting 26th October to Christmas Eve
Faversham Town Council has secured funding from Swale Borough Council from the Government’s Welcome Back Fund for a number of projects to encourage the return to the High Street and support the many independent shops and businesses in the Town. One of the projects is to provide a program of roving street entertainment from local magician Mike Ingham, who has been entertaining crowds as either Micky the Magician or Merryman the Jester for decades.

Merryman the Jester, medieval street entertainer, juggler and professional twit, will be delighting the crowds in Faversham with his particular brand of madness with his first performance during half term on Tuesday 26th October, culminating in a special Christmas Eve performance to really get the good folk of Faversham into the Christmas spirit.
He will perform from 10am – 3pm on the following dates to coincide with other events going on in Faversham in the lead up to Christmas: Tuesday 26th October, Saturday 6th November, Saturday 20th November, Saturday 27th November, Saturday 11th December, Sunday 12th December and Friday 24th December.
Claire Windridge from Faversham Town Council says, “Over the years Mike, a firm favourite with crowds of all ages, has entertained at thousands of parties and events all over the country and we are looking forward to him bringing his particular brand of fun and frolics to Faversham during the next few months. He will be entertaining the crowds from 10am – 3pm in Faversham Town Centre on the dates booked, roving around to ensure his performances can be enjoyed by all.”
