I am writing to advise that A-one+, on behalf of Highways England will be carrying out survey works to ascertain the current condition of the joints of the Colewood Underbridge on the M2 carriageway.
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and safely as possible, work will be undertaken using overnight lane closures on both the North and South bound M2 beneath the Colewood bridge between 8pm and 6pm. There will also be an overnight closure of the coastbound entry slip to Cobham
Lane closures on main carriageway | Dates and timings |
M2 North bound at Colewood underbridge. Overnight Lane Closures | Monday 14 September 2020 and Tuesday 15 September 2020; 8pm to 6am only |
M2 South bound at Colewood underbridge with Cobham Slip Road Closure | Wednesday 16 September 2020 – 8pm to 6am only |
Clearly signed diversions will be in place utilising local routes, suitable for all types of vehicles when the closure of the A2 Cobham slip road is in place.
M2 Coastbound Cobham Slip Road Closure:
Traffic will exit the M2 at junction 1 to join the northbound A289. Traffic will be directed to join the A226 Gravesend interchange in order to return southbound on the A226 to re-join the M2 in order to continue eastbound.
