John Irwin was born and raised in Belfast but has lived in England for more than thirty years. He moved to Faversham in 2006 and lives with his wife and three school aged children in Faversham. John started his working life as a schoolteacher in Kent but has worked in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry for the past twenty years. He now works full time as a management consultant.
In his spare time, in addition to ferrying his kids to and from sports and social engagements, he is Chair of Trustees for Faversham Umbrella and a Youth rugby coach, running a Friday afternoon rugby club a Queens Elizabeth’s Grammar School.
John’s interests lie in improving the Town’s youth and sports provision and driving engagement in the planning process to ensure our community is empowered to shape the town in which we all live.
