To allow sheet piling and carriageway & footway reconstruction works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of C452 Canterbury Road, Dunkirk.

A closure is planned from 13th February 2023, with estimated completion by 1st June 2023, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE40113015516-02 – Kent County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage displayed on site and the works will be displayed on One.Network

C452 Canterbury Road will be closed between the junctions with Horselees Road and Courteney Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sheet piling and carriageway & footway reconstruction works are undertaken by Kent County Council.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling eastbound is via The Street, Stockers Hill, Canterbury Road, A2 Boughton Bypass westbound, A2 Boughton Bypass Eastbound, London Road (Upper Harbledown), Upper Harbledown slip, A2 Dover Road (westbound), Dunkirk Slip Westbound and Canterbury Road.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling westbound is via Canterbury Road, A2 Boughton Bypass (Eastbound), London Road (Upper Harbledown), Upper Harbledown slip, A2 Dover Road (Westbound), A2 Boughton Bypass (Westbound),A2 Boughton Bypass (Eastbound) and Canterbury Road.
